Fire Chief Bruce Lacher is pleased to announce that a brand new fire engine has been added to the fleet just in time for fire season. After several weeks of preparation the apparatus has been placed in service at Fire Station 21 in Camino. The fire engine was custom built for El Dorado County Fire by Ferrera Fire Apparatus of Holden, Louisianna. In addition to all the basic equipment it is outfitted with an advanced thermal imaging camera, Jaws of Life, and Advanced Life Support medical equipment.
