Important Safety Tips

Create Defensible Space!
Fire season is quickly approaching and in some cases is already here. It's time to create 100 feet of defensible space around your home and structures. Creating 100 feet of defensible space will increase your home's chance of survival. The wildland fire will most likely arrive before firefighting resources and your home needs to be able to survive on it's own.
You can learn more by clicking our Defensible Space icon on our home page.
Contact your local fire agency to see if your home measures up. If you live within the El Dorado County Fire District contact us at (530) 644-9630 to schedule a time for us to visit your home and evaluate your defensible space. |
