El Dorado County, Calif. — Several weeks ago, Brad Gates began stepping into the role of Fire Chief for the El Dorado County Fire Protection District.

In a small, informal setting, Chief Gates received his badge and was sworn in by Fire Chief Tim Cordero, marking an important early milestone in the leadership transition.

Chief Gates brings a strong commitment to service, leadership, and the continued advancement of the District’s mission. He is currently working closely with Chief Cordero and District leadership to ensure a smooth and effective transition.
