Firefighters Extinguish House Fire on Riverwood Drive

Yesterday, December 13, 2021 shortly after noon firefighters from the El Dorado County Fire Protection District responded to Riverwood Drive for a house fire. The fire was initially reported to involve a barbecue next to the house. Engine 25 and Medic 25 from Placerville were the first arriving units and were faced with fire on both levels of the home. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire that displaced two unharmed residents. El Dorado County Fire Protection District firefighters were assisted by units from CAL FIRE, CAL FIRE/Cameron Park Fire Department, Diamond Springs - El Dorado Fire Protection District, Garden Valley Fire Protection District, and Rescue Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation by El Dorado County Fire Protection District fire investigators.
