2022 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial

September 17, 2022, Colorado Springs, CO — On behalf of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Fire Chief Tim Cordero presented Firefighter Branden Hustrei's widow Carly and family with an IAFF flag at the 2022 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Engineer Josh Land represented the Honor Guard and carried the District and El Dorado County Professional Firefighters flag during the ceremony. Captain Jamie Preston escorted the family throughout the weekend. Captain Jacob Poganski assisted in presenting an IAFF flag to another family whose agency could not attend.

The 2022 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial ceremony honored the 469 fallen members who would have been recognized at the canceled in-person 2020 and 2021 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial ceremonies. Find out more about the memorial here
