El Dorado County Fire District Welcomes New Firefighters and Promotes Fire Captain

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the El Dorado County Fire Protection District’s newest firefighters completed their training academy with a meaningful endurance run from Station 49 in Diamond Springs to the historic Bell Tower in Downtown Placerville. The Bell Tower holds long-standing historical significance for firefighters throughout El Dorado County and serves as a symbol of service, resilience, and commitment to the community.

Upon completion of the run, Fire Chief Tim Cordero conducted a promotion ceremony at the Bell Tower, promoting Justin Bautista to the rank of Fire Captain. Captain Bautista played an integral role in the training academy, contributing significantly to the development of the newest members of the District. The promotion was made especially meaningful by the presence of his wife and children, who were there to share in the moment and celebrate his achievement. Congratulations Captain Bautista on your well earned promotion!

Chief Cordero also welcomed and swore in the District’s newest Firefighter-EMTs and Firefighter-Paramedics as members of the El Dorado County Fire Protection District. The ceremony marked entry into a proud and enduring fire service tradition.

The El Dorado County Fire Protection District proudly welcomes the following new firefighters: Isabella Stowell, Austin Schuyler, Micah Naler, Austyn Ciampa , Robert Adams , and Chase Pfeifer. We are excited for your to have you as part of our family!
