National Wildland Firefighter Day - 2025

Camino, Calif., July 2, 2025 — It’s #NationalWildlandFirefighterDay!
Today, we pause to recognize and deeply thank the wildland firefighters who put everything on the line to protect our communities, our neighbors, and our natural resources.
We are incredibly proud of our own firefighters who are not only trained to respond to local emergencies but also serve alongside state, tribal, federal, and international partners on some of the most complex and dangerous wildfires across the country. Their skill, commitment, and courage make them an invaluable asset — both here at home and wherever they’re needed.
Wildland firefighting is demanding, selfless work. These men and women protect lives, homes, critical infrastructure, and the wildlands we all cherish. Their efforts are a cornerstone of community resilience.
Equipping and cross-training our personnel as wildland firefighters makes them even more versatile and effective — and ensures we’re ready to respond, no matter the scale or location of the incident.
To all of our firefighters — thank you!!! You are more than first responders — you are protectors of community and stewards of the land. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. #eldofire
