Probationary Firefighters Complete Combined Probationary Evaluations 

September 14, 2022, Placerville, CA - Yesterday probationary firefighters from across the Fire District participated in combined manipulative skills examinations. Probationary Firefighters are evaluated every three months on various skills and have to complete other benchmark assignments. These firefighters practice daily with their own crews in your neighborhoods to prepare for evaluation and ultimately performance and competency during emergencies. It takes a lot of commitment, hundreds of hours of focused work, from the probie firefighters and their crews to mold the firefighters who serve our communities. 18 of the District's 20 probationary firefighters participated in the evaluations. Several of these probie firefighters passed 12-month evaluation requirements and successfully completed their one-year probation.
