PROMOTIONAL BADGE PINNING CEREMONY – NOVEMBER 17, 2025

Shingle Springs, Calif., Novemer 18, 2025 — Last night, the El Dorado County Fire Protection District proudly hosted a Promotional Badge Pinning Ceremony at the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Administration Building. The ceremony honored members of our organization who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving the residents and visitors of our district.

Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to recognize the accomplishments of our promoted personnel as they received their badges, marking the next chapter in their fire service careers. The evening reflected the core values of professionalism, integrity, and service that define our District.

The El Dorado County Fire Protection District is honored to announce the following promotions:

Deputy Chief

Captain
• Duncan Silva
• Matt Irwin

Engineer
• Caleb Melton
• Tyler Ott

We congratulate each of these individuals and express our gratitude to their families for the support that enables them to serve our community. Their leadership and dedication strengthen our mission to provide the highest level of fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.

We thank the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians for hosting this special event and all who attended in support of our personnel.
